Midori Fine Asian Cuisine is a family-run Asian restaurant located on Naglee Road in Tracy, offering a mix of Chinese and other Asian flavors with a focus on fresh, flavorful dishes. The dining experience here leans into a cozy, welcoming atmosphere where attentive service stands out — guests frequently mention how staff go out of their way to accommodate dietary needs and create a comfortable visit.

The restaurant’s menu covers a broad range of Asian classics, from dim sum and soups like wonton and egg drop, to heartier mains such as Black Pepper Beef, Mongolian Beef, and seafood combos. For those seeking lighter or vegetarian-friendly starters, the Sichuan Green Beans and Salt & Pepper Calamari provide well-balanced, savory options with a noticeable spice kick that appeals especially to fans of bold, authentic flavors.

Midori tends to attract a local crowd looking for satisfying, shareable meals that come in generous portions — leftovers are a common outcome. It’s a spot where groups and families can settle in comfortably, with the overall vibe being unpretentious and relaxed despite occasional issues like an aging air conditioning system. Cleanliness is evidently a priority here, with diners often noting the tidy dining rooms and bathrooms.

The best times to visit seem to be evenings or weekend dinners when the restaurant fills with friendly chatter and a steady flow of orders. The presence of house favorites like Thai Tea and unique cocktails such as Sake Bombs adds a casual, slightly festive edge to the experience, making it suited for both casual weeknight meals and small gatherings.

Midori Fine Asian Cuisine works well for local food lovers who appreciate authentic, well-prepared Asian dishes served with genuine hospitality. If you’re in Tracy and craving solid Chinese and pan-Asian fare in a down-to-earth atmosphere, this spot offers a dependable and welcoming option.

The food was delicious and the service was among the best I’ve ever received. Our server Nia was such a delight and was so helpful in working around our dietary restrictions. The people here really go the extra mile to make sure you feel cared for. Also, the green bean appetizer is a must for vegetarians and veggie enthusiasts!

I came to this place very hungry as I had not eaten since 5 pm the day before as I was sleeping and recovering from my trip to Maui. This day was 101° outside, and they had the same sign on the door saying that the AC wasn’t working too well, which has been up for almost 2 years. I mentioned that maybe it was time to get a new AC, and the young lady who sat us down said they had just gotten one a year ago, which doesn’t make sense because you would imagine it would have a warranty with it or that they would still get a new one so that they’re customers can eat comfortably. This made me think that they probably don’t want to spend the money on the AC for their customers. It also makes me think of places I’ve seen where the cooks are sweating all over the food and wondered if their temperature in the kitchen was just as hot or hotter than it was in the restaurant. As I am older, I mentioned that I was worried about eating in a place that warm because I’ve suffered heat related conditions in the past before, which makes one more prone to them. They did seat me in front of a fan on the floor, so that was nice but I didn’t see any other fans for other customers. The service was not that great once the food was served, our waitress never came not once to ask if we needed any more refills or anything else (so I didn’t really want to tip at all bc that’s not me, but I did tip $5). I ended up drinking my daughter’s glass of water because everybody sat down to eat Including our waitress, and I felt bad getting up to ask any of them for anything, not even water. I wasn’t sure if this is a passive aggressive behavior due to my AC comment, but I hope they are more professional than that. Last comment was that my 18 y.o. and I agreed that the lemon chicken was dry. The hot n sour soup was delicious and so was the fried rice. My daughter also liked her Thai tea. We loved the tomato beef. Unsure if we’ll be back. We might give them another try. Maybe in the winter or to go.

We love coming here when in town. They have the best Chinese food in Tracy. Everything is fresh and delicious. The portions are very large and always require a box for leftovers.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Phenomenal Experience! Midori Fine Asian Cuisine is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Mama, whose incredible hospitality made us feel like honored guests. Her attentiveness, kindness, and genuine care for every customer set this place apart—she truly goes above and beyond to make the dining experience unforgettable. And the food? Absolutely divine! Every dish arrived hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The Sichuan beef was perfectly tender with just the right amount of heat, while the salt and pepper ribs were crispy, savory, and addictively delicious. The Hong Kong-style noodles were a delightful balance of texture and umami, and the Sichuan garlic green beans were a perfect side—crisp, garlicky, and packed with flavor. The appetizer platter was a fantastic way to start, offering a variety of bites that showcased the kitchen’s skill, and the pork shu mai was delicate, juicy, and full of rich, savory goodness. Beyond the food, the atmosphere and ambiance are simply lovely—warm lighting, elegant décor, and a relaxing, welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger and savor every moment. Whether you’re here for a cozy dinner, a family gathering, or a special occasion, Midori delivers impeccable service, outstanding food, and an overall experience that leaves a lasting impression. This is hands-down one of the best Asian dining experiences I’ve had. Thank you, Mama, and the entire team at Midori for such an exceptional evening. We’ll definitely be back—again and again!

This is our 4th time ordering from here! I was shocked that we'd never tried this place and even moreso, that it was amazing! My husband treated me by purchasing foid to prevent me from having to cook. He ordered the blackened green beans (favorite), and the garlic, fried prawns. We have the instant sticky rice from Costco (bomb) already. The owner (Mama) gave him some sweet n sour sauce as a condiment. It was totally delicious!!!! TRACY, DON'T SLEEP on this foodie heaven!
